Don’t let spring scare you this year. We have a great allergy product that will help relieve the itchy eyes and runny nose but won’t break your bank. Yes, the Allergy Relief we offer is a generic Benadryl product that comes in a bottle of 100 tablets for just over 2 dollars! The active ingredient is Diphenhydramine which is an antihistamine that does cause drowsiness for some people so don’t take this if that is a concern. We understand how important first aid supplies are for our customers. They need to be good quality products at affordable prices. But the reality is that none of this is important if you don’t have the products on hand in time and ready to use. That is why we work hard to make sure that every order is processed quickly and efficiently. You can have confidence knowing that orders placed before 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time are processed and shipped the same day they are received.
Why are we making such a big deal about this? Because most suppliers are not able to ship the same day. We have streamlined the order and shipping process so within a matter of minutes your order is on it’s way to your shipping address. As scary as the First Aid Monster is, we have great relationships with our manufacturers allowing us to keep inventory available and ready to ship scary fast!

When you find a product you like, you continue to buy it for years. Many of us have been suffering with cold and flu like symptoms this year and a trip to the pharmacy always seems to leave us unhappy. So many different choices and none of them are exactly what you need. When it comes to cold symptoms, the Medi-First Cold Relief tablet has been the solution for employers hoping to keep their employees on the job. The Cold Relief tablet has 4 different ingredients to attack cold symptoms including headaches, fever, runny nose, congestion and coughing.
Many over the counter products will work for congestion or for aches while others may work for coughs and the stuffed up nose. This product does it all. Medi-First Cold Relief medication relieves cold symptoms like cough, headache, sore throat and sinus congestion. It contains Acetaminophen 325 mg (for aches and pains), Dextromethorphan 15mg (for cough), Guaifenesin 200mg (for congestion) and Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg (for runny nose). This product does not contain psuedoephedrine. The medicine is packaged in “unit-dose packaging” for first aid kits or traveling. That means you don’t have to take the whole bottle with you when you go out. The individual packages have two tables and include ingredients, directions and warnings. The packages come in a dispenser box that can be placed in first aid kits or on your shelf at home. This will become one of your favorite products to relieve your cold or flu symptoms. Don’t bother going to the pharmacy for your cold anymore, use the Medi-First Cold Relief!

Advice from the Center for Disease Control
The news has been telling us about how sever this flu season is. We don’t want to scare anyone but we do want to help prevent the spread of the influenza virus. The Center for Disease Control suggests several basic steps to prevent the flu from spreading. Take a moment to read the quick points below:
- Always get a flu vaccine every year. This is the first and most important step in fighting the spread of the flu.
- Stay at home if you get flu like symptoms. Only leave if you are seeking medical care or for other necessities. You are potentially infectious until 24 hours after your fever is gone.
- Prevent spreading germs by practicing proper coughing and sneezing etiquette
- Wash your hands regularly
- Avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes
- Disinfect surfaces at home or work, especially when you know someone is sick. Door handles, counters, sink faucets and other common places that are touched should be sanitized.
We know that the precautions above are not a substitute for the vaccine but they can help prevent the spread of the flu. The CDC has a great website that has a nice FAQ about what you should know about the flu. Take a look and educate yourself so this influenza season will be a healthy and safe one. The website will also have links to show you how severe the flu is in your region of the country. You can also learn who is at risk of developing flu-related complications. For a quick overview, why not try the Flu IQ below so you can see how informed you are. The CDC has created this tool to help inform the public about the influenza virus and how to prevent it’s spread.

If you were to ask any doctor, nurse, physician assistant, or any healthcare professional for that matter, they probably wouldn’t be able to put into words how important hand washing is. The spread of MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) throughout hospitals has been a huge problem as of late, not to mention the spread of infections after surgery. Needless to say, hand sanitation is extremely necessary and essential.
Our Provon foaming medicated hand wash includes an ingredient called Triclosan, which is an antibacterial and anti-fungal agent. This ingredient is used in toothpaste to prevent gingivitis, and is also present in soaps, deodorants, shaving creams, mouthwashes, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, and is in increasingly more products. It has proven to be effective in reducing bacteria and contamination, and has even shown to decolonize MRSA! That is some strong stuff. Clearly it works, which is why our hand wash is used for health care personnel.
This product is a great investment for anyone striving to stave off sicknesses. It moisturizes the hands so they will not dry out with use, and keeps them soft. To find out more about this product, click here.
